The projects continue on!  Our first winter was thankfully on the milder and dryer side which afforded us the opportunity to work on projects.  We did a cosmetic update of the basement powder room and replaced/installed all new carpeting.  We refinished the slate pool table with new “cloth” and improved lighting.  The previous homeowners left us the original pool table instructions and it was originally from Wisconsin!  

Next we tackled what we call “phase A” of the exterior facelift.  We worked on a design to transform the exterior of our home.  Since it was time to replace the original windows, this was our opportunity to add a layer of insulation and add our design touches to the home with black stained nickel gap siding.  We installed true board and battens between the windows on the upper level and on the window bays on the first floor of the home.  

We worked on the siding and window details until the middle of Fall–thankfully getting it all buttoned up before the snow was flying again!  Our second winter here did see a bit more snow and definitely the cold that Minnesota is known for.
